Sebastian Shaw, a truly despicable villain himself who only just recently murdered Kate Pryde, has the power to store kinetic and thermal energy and use it to superpower his strength, agility, endurance, and healing factor. Destiny almost immediately realizes that Sinister is in the ship because who else would clone " the grown muscle of a long-dead man" to use as a battery pack!

The image of the flaying flesh ship flying through space is truly gruesome, with the decaying skin haphazardly ties to the outside of the vehicle, as if Mister Sinister did it on a whim as he was preparing to flee. Looking forward to the farthest possible future available to Destiny, Irene sees " a fiery starship the size of an actual star," which turns out to be a terrifying cosmically empowered Exodus, chasing a smaller spaceship, before horrifyingly realizing, " Oh god. Immortal X-Men #3 - written by Kieron Gillen with art by Lucas Werneck - focuses on Irene Adler, the mutant prophet known as Destiny, as she begins to record her second set of "Destiny's Diaries," using her precognitive visions to record the potential futures of Krakoa and mutantkind. Sebastian Shaw is a classic X-Men villain, first introduced by Chris Claremont in 1980's The Uncanny X-Men #129, who for most of his history ran the shady Hellfire Club, working with other villains like the White Queen and Selene to maintain power and wealth. Marvel's fan-favorite despicable villain Mister Sinister is seen flying through the cosmos in a spaceship disturbingly covered with the cloned flesh of the long-dead Sebastian Shaw, using his mutant ability to store and release kinetic energy to power the vehicle. The X-Men villain Mister Sinister is a monstrous person with a deeply unsettling obsession with cloning and eugenics, and Destiny's recent prophetic visions in Immortal X-Men #3 prove that there is zero chance at redemption for Nathaniel Essex.
